A native of Atlanta, David began developing his vision at the ripe age of 12. Upon graduation from The University of Georgia and then Brooks Institute of Photography with honors in 1992, he started Fine Imaging Studios, Inc. Since 1992, his vision and creativity have placed images in the hands of many corporations, advertising agencies, and collectors from around the country. The fine art photography of David Fine has been displayed at fine art festivals throughout the Southeast with numerous awards including “1st Place”, “Best of Show”, “Best of Art” – 2nd Place, “Purchase Awards” and “Merit” Awards. He is best known for photographic mixed media Interpretation of a moment in time through nature in dramatic landscapes with a focus on the impact of time on our landscape through things that Rust and things that Splinter. Each image is created utilizing traditional film and camera techniques with modern film and processing standards. David’s camera format of choice is Medium Format utilizing the equipment and lenses from Hasselblad and Fuji. After capturing the final image, it is further “developed” by translating the image into the digital world for printing to a media through Giclée printing that is perfectly suited for the image content. Since the image is captured on film using exact exposure and development techniques, no retouching or enhancement is performed on any image, as this process is completely unnecessary. Mixing traditional film with the Giclée process allows David’s vision to be reproduced faithfully in a image that will last for many years to come. Every image is individually printed by David and signed and serialized for a maximum of 50 impressions in all sizes.
